Futureproof was an exhibition curated by Ingrid Burrington for Haverford College. It featured the work of Morehshin Allahyari, Salome Asega, Ilona Gaynor, and Ayodamola Tanimowo Okunseinde, in addition to Gui Bonsiepe’s work on the Cybersyn Project.

The exhibition identity visualizes the title’s wordplay: “Futureproof” as in the processes used to prevent obsolescence, and “future proof” in that these processes capture our anxieties, aspirations, and assumptions, increasing the likelihood they become self-fulfilling prophecies.
